New Design Hotel to open in Sydney

Sydney is to become the home of the newest Design Hotel, the QT Sydney, set to open its doors in September this year.

The only Sydney hotel to be a member of the exclusive Design Hotels, the QT Sydney will meld two of the city’s most important historical buildings, being built above the State Theatre and Gowings on Market and George Streets.

The beautifully restored exterior of the QT Sydney celebrates old world charm, while the interior embraces cutting edge design and new technologies.

When complete, the hotel will comprise 200 uniquely designed rooms, complete with either original timber floors in the Gowings Building or designed carpets and rugs in the State Theatre rooms.

Eccentric touches, light embellishments, bowler hat lamps and cheeky accessories complete the picture.

The hotel will also feature the Gowings Bar and Grill serving wild seafood and Parlour Lane Roasters - a quaint European style café, as well the spaQ – a unique designer spa.
