Monday, 8 August 2011 8:51 AM

A new West End restaurant is set to open its door to the public for the first time this September. Thirty Six by Nigel Mendham will launch itself onto London’s thriving restaurant scene next month.

Located at 36 Little James Street and replacing the former ‘Dining Room’ at Dukes London, Thirty Six by Nigel Mendham will serve ‘modern British food with a classical twist’.

Nigel is famed for his creative presentation and contemporary style and is hoping to create Michelin star quality for Dukes London guests and locals alike.

Nigel says that after five years of working in the Lake District, he feels ready to take on the challenge of a city.

Thirty six appropriately seats 36 diners and today Nigel announced dishes at Thirty Six will include Goosenargh duck, savoury granola, black cherry and almond milk, Roast Quail, Terrine Forstiere, braised leg and quail jus and Taste of Rhubarb crumble, ginger custard and ice cream.

Debrah Dhugga, general manager Dukes London said: “We are all really excited about the launch of Thirty Six by Nigel Mendham in September.

"It will be a fantastic addition to the hotel and also to the London restaurant scene.”
