NYC Restaurant Week countdown begins
The largest ever NYC Restaurant Week is set to feature more than 320 participating restaurants, with less than a month until the huge gastronomic festivals kicks off.
New York City’s original culinary celebration and world’s first Restaurant Week is a two-week event taking place July 11–24, Mondays through Fridays; Saturdays are excluded and Sundays are optional.
Founding sponsor American Express and participating sponsor Travelocity will return to offer promotions and prizes throughout the two-week festival.
For the twelveth consecutive season, prices for the prix-fixe three-course meals will remain at $24.07 for lunch and $35 for dinner (excluding beverages, taxes and gratuities), ensuring that the City’s largest dining program to date remains as good a value today as it was in 1992.
“Summer 2011 marks the beginning of the 20th year for NYC Restaurant Week—a true milestone in the industry of dining,” said NYC & Company CEO George Fertitta.
“This season will kick off a two-part commemoration of the City’s largest culinary program that will conclude with its 20th anniversary. We encourage everyone to partake in this New York City tradition that has influenced events the world over and claimed a part of history.”
