New land adventures with Silversea
Seven brand new land adventures have been unveiled by Silversea Cruises, along with a range of other extended mid-voyage excursions.
The new 2011 sailing programme introduces single- and multiple-day inland tours that take passengers further inland at the ports of call.
Different from the usual half-day inland excursions offered by cruise lines, these longer adventures are designed to give travellers a more in-depth and personal encounter with the local people, wildlife and the culture.
Darius Mehta, Silversea's associate vice president of air and land programmes said, ‘We continue to develop new programmes that will allow our guests to enjoy authentic onshore experiences.’
The new adventures include a ‘Kangaroo Island Luxury Eco Expedition’, where passengers can enjoy luxurious accommodation and unique experiences.
In addition to the many new exotic inland excursions, the new brochure also introduces an ‘Inverlochy Castle & Scottish Highlands’ adventure. The tour includes a visit to a famous distillery, where travellers can taste Scotland’s national spirit, malt whisky.
With new onshore adventures to some of the most remote and exotic destinations in the world, Silversea’s 2011 sailing schedule will open up new luxury adventure holidays for cruise guests.
