With the highest standards of luxury and services on the menu, Mandarin Oriental has announced that it is opening a hotel in Doha in Qatar. The new luxury city centre hotel is planned to open in 2014, one year after the scheduled launch of Mandarin Oriental in Abu Dhabi.

The hotel will feature 160 luxurious guestrooms and suites as well as 95 serviced apartments, which will all be spacious and elegantly styled. Besides the many high-end in-room facilities, the hotel will also boast an all-encompassing spa, which will provide holistic rejuvenation and relaxation in tranquil surroundings, as well as an indoor swimming pool, fitness centre and a range of exclusive restaurants to choose from.

The hotel will be situated in the central part of Musheireb, close to the historic origins of Qatar's capital city. The development of the new hotel is also expected to transform and regenerate the city centre.
