Spa breaks are on the increase
Spa breaks are becoming more and more popular as we all look for at least a couple of days where we can kick back and relax and forget about everything.
According to new research by the Sheraton Grand Hotel and Spa in Edinburgh as many as 12 per cent of the UK population will be taking a spa break in the next 12 months.
The hotel has conducted the research as part of its 10 year anniversary celebrations, as they look to stay ahead of their competition by enlisting the help of Dr Ian Yeoman, the world’s only professional futurologist specialising in travel and tourism.
He has been commissioned to look at the ‘current societal patterns which combine to make Spa & Wellbeing one of the fastest growing industries in the world’.
To celebrate 10 years since the One Spa opened they will be launching a new signature treatment in October and revealing some future trends and products that travellers in 2021 can expect.
Mark Perkins, One Spa Director said: “The spa industry has changed considerably since we launched One Spa 10 years ago.
“We want to move with the times and reflect the real needs of our customers in the treatments which we provide and we are currently undergoing, in time to launch a brand new list of therapies to celebrate ten years as a leading urban spa.”
