Historic 19th century hotel to open in Worcestershire
A newly restored Grade II listed boutique hotel, The Wood Norton is to open in the Vale of Evesham this September, following a £4 million restoration project.
Formerly a listening post in the Cold War, The Wood Norton sits in the heart of Worcestershire’s countryside and features original 19th century oak paneling, parquet flooring, carvings and statement fireplaces, crafted for European royalty that once lived here.
Consisting of three main buildings, the hotel features 50 bedrooms complete with wood paneled walls and roll top baths as well as those more contemporary rooms.
The hotel also comprises landscaped gardens designed by the English Heritage Gardens specialist Peter Baldock and consists of classic French and Edwardian English styles.
There is also a restaurant serving locally sourced British cuisine in elegant surroundings and a lounge bar where you can enjoy drinks and cocktails.
Rooms start from £85 per night including full English breakfast and suites start from £235 per night.
