Wine tour of the Loire Valley unveiled
There is good news for all wine-loving Brits as Grape Escapes is launching a new exclusive tour to discover the wine of the Loire Valley.
Travellers will be able to relax and unwind in the heart of the Loire Valley with a crisp Chenin Blanc and fresh local food.
Taking place from 30 June to 3 July, the specially designed wine tour takes travellers to four prestigious wine houses, including Longlois Chateau whose vines are grown on a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Offering a wide range of wines – wider than any other small French wine-growing region – the region is steeped in wine-making history and offers a unique insight into the art of wine-making, which dates back to the first century in the Loire Valley.
The premium tour also offers a taste of the Loire between wine samplings. This involves lunch in a troglodytic cave, where guests can taste the ancient French fouée bread cooked in open air ovens and a four-course gourmet lunch at a premium restaurant in Amboise.
